CHURCH STRUCTURE

First United Methodist Church is run by the members of the church.  The organization consists of one arm concerned with the administration of the church, and another concerned with the ministry of the church.

The administrative responsibilities are shouldered by the Administrative Board.  All of its participants are elected by the church body once each year.

The ministry responsibilities are assumed by the Council on Ministries.  This group is made up of the leaders of various groups with in the church who have oversight of worship, education, missions, evangelism, social action, and stewardship, and all service groups who plan and carry out ministries of service.
