Music is also an important way to participate.  Music is an important part of our worship. 

We welcome anyone who is interested to participate in this ministry by in singing in one of the choirs.  You do not need to have special musical training or education; just a desire to praise God through music.

We appreciate special presentations by soloist or duets or small ensembles.  Whether you sing or play an instrument, we invite you to use your talent to glorify God in worship.

Angels Choir    

This group of singers is for children of preschool through third grade.  The angels Choir meets every Wednesday from 6:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. (excluding June through August).  This group sings simple songs and learns about the fundamentals of music. Kids of the Kingdom 

The Kids of the Kingdom choir is made up of children in third grade through middle school.  They rehearse Wednesdays from 7:00-7:30 pm. They sing during our worship services about six times per year.  The bring the beauty of God's love for us all. They also build an important fellowship with emphasis on prayer and service.  This is a wonderful program for children to learn about worship, discipleship, and service. The Chancel Choir

The Chancel Choir of First United Methodist Church is made up of singers from junior high school age through adult.  The choir is open to anyone who like to join in the singing.  The choir rehearsed every Sunday beginning at 9:15 am in the sanctuary as well as every Wednesday at 7:30 p.m.  This choir serves up a well-balanced diet of anthems ranging from the classical repertoire and traditional hymn arrangements to upbeat spirituals and contemporary gospel selections.   The choir sings two to four times a month during the 10:30 worship service and also prepares special music during the Christmas and Easter seasons.  You may contact Michelle LeLoup, the Adult Choir Director, at mleloup@insightbb.com .

The Hand Bell Choir

The church has beautiful set of hand bells.  This are single note instruments.  An individual can play one or more hand bells during a piece.  They all blend to make beautiful music.
