Greetings From Dr. John :
Welcome to Urbana 1st! When you come to worship here, you'll be overwhelmed with the size and beauty of the building; it looks like a Gothic cathedral. But that's all it is - a building. It is what's inside that counts. Each of us needs some "sacred space"; a place where we can go and feel the Presence of God. |
| We're ready to help you find your "space". There are programs in place for you to feel connected with God. There is a worship experience that provides you the quietness and the holiness you need to establish that special link with Jesus' Presence. In the words, the songs, and even the quietness, you will discover again the holiness you need. I look forward to meeting you in person. At the 1st United Methodist Church of Urbana we will provide opportunities to grow in faith through worship that makes a difference, education that teaches salvation through Jesus Christ, and outreach and fellowship that reflect God's love. | |
